DUBLIN 11, Ireland - Dec. 28, 2023 - PRLog -- About the Project

MEAA is 24-month Erasmus+ KA2 Project (Project number: 2022-1-RO01-KA220-ADU-000085196) that started in November 2022. The project focuses on addressing the diverse needs of adult learners, with an emphasis on those facing greater challenges. Stakeholders include educators, facilitators, and partners committed to providing specialized training in basic and digital skills. Key objectives include introducing new teaching methods, offering free courses, and utilizing digital tools. Targeting adults with fewer opportunities, the project aims to enhance their digital competence for improved employability. For organizations working with these learners, the project seeks to build internal capacities, integrate innovative methods, and provide guidance. Partners are encouraged to adopt innovative approaches, develop attractive education programs, experiment with digital methods, and collaborate at both European and local levels. Ultimately, the project aims to create inclusive learning environments and enhance the professionalism of staff in adult education.

Project Progress

The MEAA project has already accomplished the Project Result 1 – PR1 "Digital competence framework for adult educators/ trainers". The PR1 encompasses the key competences needed by adult educators/ trainers to effectively integrate digital tools and media education into education in their localized contexts. The PR1 also highlights the results of the focus groups in each partner country to understand what educators need to support adult learners. The PR1 is available to download free in Romanian, Italian, English, Spanish, Greek and Estonian language from the website (https://meaa-erasmus.com/results/). PR2- a handbook for aware adults is tailored for adults, a valid support tool for adult educators who work with adults to provide them with high-quality knowledge and skills needed in teaching.

Additionally, MEAA has created a strong network of online contacts via its social media channel (Facebook) where partners share updates on the project and informative material.

Next Steps

The partners are preparing for a 3-day (LTTA) training session scheduled for January 2024 in Dublin, aimed at 12 participants. This training will mark the commencement of a cascade effect on various territories as it focuses on utilizing the main results of the project. The primary objective is to collaboratively design and create highly engaging practical activity scenarios to support the target group. The outcomes of this international LTTA will be incorporated into local LTTAs, which are intended to train educators and adults within each partner organization's respective regions. Each partner organization will be represented by 2 participants during this training in Dublin.

The Partnership

MEAAs consortium consists of six partnership organizations from Romania, Italy, Greece, Ireland, Estonia, and Spain.
