SAN JOSE, Calif. - March 1, 2023 - PRLog -- The Tenacious Group, San Jose, CA, non-profit organization led by Former Raiders Team Chaplain Adam Ybarra is excited to introduce Read to Succeed Project on National Read Across America Day. Read Across America was established in 1998 to get children excited about reading in honor of Dr Seuss' Birthday. Read to Succeed Project goal is to give away Alex The Hippo (4) Book-set to 200 children in underserved communities.

In the United States, more than 60% of low-income families have no children's books in their home. "I am a firm believer in students boundless potential to become avid readers. It's vital to introduce hard cover books to children. Getting books into homes is an inexpensive way to help children succeed, said author Adam Ybarra. Homes with no books equate to below average literacy skills."

"Reading is kind of a gateway to the development of academic skills across all disciplines," said Ben Domingue, an assistant professor in the Graduate School of Education at Stanford University.

Read to Succeed Project will give away Alex The Hippo - Brave & Courageous; Friends & Feelings; Manners & Etiquette; Kindness & Mental Health.

Alex The Hippo is a young hippo who is discovering his unique voice and purpose in the world.

Read to Succeed Project is set to launch March 2, 2023.
