Children's Museum in Oak Lawns Provides Access to the Museum by Partnering with Engiven to Acc

OAK LAWN, Ill. - July 6, 2022 - PRLog -- Children's Museum in Oak Lawn is partnering with Engiven, Inc., a pioneer in the cryptocurrency donation space, to enable more children and their families to experience the museum through the Museums for All initiative by enabling donors the opportunity to give crypto currency. The Children's Museum in Oak Lawn is the first children's museum in the country to accept the donation of cryptocurrency.

Museums for All is a cooperative initiative between the Association of Children's Museums and the Institute of Museum and Library Services to offer a signature access program that encourages families of all backgrounds to visit museums regularly and build lifelong museum habits. The program is designed with economically challenged families in mind, helping to provide a discounted admission rate to these families. Donors now have the opportunity to give crypto currency to the Children's Museum in Oak Lawn to fund this project and other initiatives. Donors can still donate through other traditional avenues as well.

Adam Woodworth, the Museum's Executive Director shared, "We learned a lot from being closed most of 2020. The one thing we learned is that people want to support the museum

through donations and volunteering; and we need to be able to meet those supporters where

they are."We partnered with Engiven, a platform that helps nonprofits easily accept donations of cryptocurrency. Within 24 hours of launch, we received our first cryptocurrency donation. It was exciting."

For more than 18 years, the Children's Museum in Oak Lawn has welcomed families. Teachers, parents and caregivers understand that play is not frivolous, but rather pivotal to the development of the brain. Play leads to changes at the molecular, cellular and behavioral levels that promote learning and adaptive and/or prosocial behavior. Play is also fun and engaging.  It is a way to communicate with our children. From exhibits about our planet, the solar system, the universe and the big questions scientists at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) are trying to answer to STEM and imaginative play areas, the Children's Museum in Oak Lawn has a wide range of activities for children and their families to explore.
