The Largest IEC Electrical School Announces Its 2022 Wiring Competition

NORTHGLENN, Colo. - April 12, 2022 - PRLog -- Independent Electrical Contractors Rocky Mountain (IECRM) will hold its Annual "Wire-Off" Competition where 40 top students of the IECRM 4 Year Electrical Apprenticeship Program will compete "live" at the Largest IEC electrical training facility in Northglenn, Colorado. Electrical contractors, family, friends, co-workers, colleagues, and anyone interested in becoming an electrician is invited to see the competition in action inside the facility's state-of-the-art electrical lab from 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm.

This year, IECRM has partnered with The City of Northglenn to showcase the City's work through Xcel Partners in Energy towards preparing for an Electric Vehicle (EV) and Solar future. Homeowners and businesses, electrical contractors and EV/Solar installers, and the general public, are all invited to come and learn about the City's goals in transitioning to clean energy and cleaner transit as well as learn about the technology, latest incentives, opportunities, rebates, and special programs available. Special guest, Mayor Pro Tem Willford will give a brief overview of the city's upcoming initiatives at 4:30 pm. Guests can register via iecrm.org/wireoff22.

Guests of the event will be provided with a free barbeque lunch, drinks, ice cream, and the chance to win prizes and giveaways.

More about the annual IECRM Wire-Off Competition: Ten of the top students from each year of the 4 Year Electrical Apprenticeship Training Program will put their newly honed wiring skills to the test during a series of day-long skills challenges. The 1st place winner among the 4th Year students will go on to represent IECRM at the national level at the annual competition held at the IEC National Convention & Expo that will be held in Louisville, KY this fall.
