Philadelphia YMCA Commercial Pool Counts On Patriot Pool Heating To Save Their Pool Heating System

Improper gas pipping and regulator installation: The gas line was installed with incorrect placement of regulator, sediment trap, and gas valve.  This along with the incorrect gas regulator caused the heater to run very lean which caused soot to form which led to catastrophic and premature heat exchanger failure.

Improper pool water pipping and configuration was used: The lines were too small not allowing enough water flow.  Correct lines were used and tying them into the six inch pipe was redone to allow for proper water flow and service.

In the end, Patriot Pool Heating was able to quickly replace the heater in the time allotted and work with the manager to finalize adjustments as needed that did not interrupt pool usage.
