Recording and performing as both a solo artist and as part of a duo with her brother BeBe, CeCe has influenced a generation of gospel and secular vocalists over the course of her astonishing career and has sold over 5 million albums. She's been inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame, the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and the Nashville Music City Walk of Fame, in addition to being named a Trailblazer of Soul by BMI and garnering multiple NAACP Image Awards, Soul Train Awards, Essence Awards, in addition to 12 Grammys, 20 Dove Awards and seven Stellar Awards. Last year, Winans performed the theme song to the powerful hit film, "Beautifully Broken." She will be receiving the WIFT Visionary Award. The Alice Awards Gala, scheduled for Saturday June 22nd at 7pm, honor women in the entertainment industry who exemplify the spirit of Alice Guy-Blache, an extraordinary woman who experimented with sound during the silent era, with color-tinting during the black & white era, and with diverse casting when it was unthinkable. This event will also recognize and salute women who have demonstrated steadfastness and perseverance in the pursuit of their dreams despite difficulties, hardships and life's circumstances and emerged victorious. Other honorees include Irlene Mandrell of the Mandrell Sisters, Lisa Erspamer, former CEO of the OWN Network and former NBC anchorwoman, Demetria Kalodimos. Industry icons, Kathie Lee Gifford and Jennifer O'Neill are Honorary Chairs. The Southern Women in Film & Television Summit debuted in 2018 to rave reviews and unparalleled educational and networking opportunities. Nearly 200 people attended the Summit. This year, the event is expected to grow even larger, as it has partnered with another high-profile industry event, Film-Com. Film-Com is Nashville's business market for film, television, documentaries, and gaming. Similar to the American Film Market in Los Angeles, the event brings in development executives, packaging agents, financiers, sales agents, producers, and other industry veterans earnestly looking to collaborate on new projects and work with new content creators. As the closing weekend of Film-Com, SWIFT is now an integral part of the biggest film & TV market event in the Southeast! In addition to two days of industry panels, workshops, and networking events, the confab will feature a number of special events including a celebrity fashion show, showcasing fashions by Project Runway alum, Johnathan Kayne and a songwriters showcase, featuring an array of talented female songwriters. Sunday, June 23rdwill focus on actors, with an intensive one-day "Actor-Com" featuring workshops, and training sessions with casting directors, acting and vocal coaches and more.
