Nick Clementi Named Mentor of Year

MINNEAPOLIS - Oct. 29, 2018 - PRLog -- Nick Clementi, Managing Partner of Sandhill Consulting Group  and a Managing Director of the Peakstone Group, was recognized as a State of Minnesota 2018 "Mentor of the Year" by the MN Cup.

MN Cup is a startup competition and hub to connect Minnesota's entrepreneurial ecosystem. MN Cup  supports emerging entrepreneurs through events, educational programming and an annual startup competition that provides them with tools, resources and support to launch and accelerate the development of their new ventures.

Nick was presented his award by John Stavig, Program Director of the Holmes School of Entrepreneurship, a part of the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Business.  U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar was the key note speaker at the event.

Nick Clementi has served as a volunteer mentor for much of the past decade, assisting nearly two dozen entrepreneurs refine their business plans and execute those plans as they navigate the start-up challenges of their business ventures.

UpCraft Club is one of the firms that Clementi mentored in the 2018 MN Cup competition.  UpCraft Club, a business which brings digital sewing patterns to the retail market, was a finalist in the competition.  UpCraft Club founder Elizabeth Caven nominated Clementi for the Mentor of the Year Award recognition.

Currently in his professional endeavors, Nick advises middle market businesses seeking to grow their business, raise capital, or transition to new ownership.  Nick is recognized for his industry expertise in the fields of packaging & printing, consumer products and food service.

Nick has served as Chairman of the Board, CEO/President or senior executive of a number of businesses, including Pictionary, American Greetings Celebrate It! Group, InnoWare Paper & Plastics, Contempo Colours, Learning Horizons, Sesame Music, Golden Music & Video and Golden Books & Games.
