AUSTELL, Ga. - May 4, 2018 - PRLog -- Beep! Beep! The New Music Food Truck is pulling up with the freshest indie and alternative rock music served hot weekly! It was announced today by the Editor-in-Chief of ION Indie Magazine, Kiki Plesha, in partnership with radio veterans Jim Edwards (Producer) and Stac Edwards (Host) – and in cooperation with William Dewberry of AM1670 of San Antonio, Texas – that May 8, 2018, will be the debut of the latest radio show to join the ION Indie Magazine media family, New Music Food Truck. The hour-long show will broadcast on Tuesdays at 3:00 p.m. and Saturdays at 5:00 (CDT) at www.AM1670.org, but can also be heard on the show's website, as well as on all major podcast platforms.

Each show will feature music selections by various indie and alternative rock artists, along with informative artist spotlights and feature interviews. The content will be derived from both the magazine and through an independent selection process overseen by the Edwards brothers.

With a degree in both Radio and Marketing/Sales Management, Jim Edwards is an award-winning radio personality, video producer/editor, and marketing professional, specializing in relational promotions and sales expansion. With over 25 years of experience in both on-air and studio production, his has been awarded several prestigious recognitions from ADDY and CBA for radio commercial writing and production. He has additionally written for and been published in business newspapers and trade journals. He now adds New Music Food Truck to his resume.

Regarding his new partnership with ION Indie Magazine, New Music Food Truck, and his palpable passion for independent music, Edwards said, "I'm excited to partner with ION Indie Magazine and look forward to showcasing on New Music Food Truck some of the fantastic new music independently released…much like the way amazing new food experiences are coming to life in the streets on food trucks!"

Stac Edwards is a former radio personality who still seeks to surround himself with music on a daily basis. With 18 years in commercial radio, he has worked in several different formats along the way -- including Classic Hits, Classic Rock, Alt Rock and Mainstream Rock. When asked about this new venture as host of New Music Food Truck, Edwards enthusiastically stated, "Outside of my family, I only need two things to make life complete -- food and music. The New Music Food Truck supplies both."

According to Editor-in-Chief of ION Indie Magazine, Kiki Plesha, "The magazine is celebrating 4 years as a publication and the growth has been nothing short of phenomenal. However, it's the people who lend their time and talent that drive our success…and we now count the Edwards brothers as members of the extended ION family and look forward to realizing what we can build together. As it has always been my vision to grow the ION Indie Magazine platform past our pages, radio presents another opportunity to support independent artists. New Music Food Truck is the perfect compliment to our first radio show, Eye On Jamz, a two-hour live syndicated show hosted by Sheldon Snow which broadcasts on Fridays at 4:00 p.m. EDT. The two shows have very different vibes and formats – with Eye On Jamz presenting a more eclectic mix of all genres of music and New Music Food Truck geared toward a specific market – indie and alternative rock. Both shows contribute to the realization of our ION Indie Magazine initiative's mantra -- to get indie music read about, seen, and heard."

Plesha continues, "I would like to take this opportunity to recognize and thank William Dewberry, the owner of AM1670, who has opened up his airwaves to ION Indie Magazine and our broadcast pursuits and provided us a broadcast home. The Edwards brothers, Jim and Stac, Sheldon Snow, and I, are grateful to AM1670 and look forward to bringing new listeners to the station and our combined future growth."

AM1670 is currently in their 11th year with a 24/7 broadcast, with their uptime being at an impressive 98%. Since the launch of the station, AM1670 has taken great pride in their platform and their product, hosts, and valued listeners. They are licensed in good standing with ASCAP (with an additional ASCAP blanket license), BMI, SESAC, SOCAN, and SoundExchange. From the inception of AM1670, their passion has been providing an outlet for both independent artists and the listeners that appreciate music outside of the sterile listening environment commonly found on terrestrial radio.

Station owner, William Dewberry, recently spoke about the station's stance on this new effort, "We are proud and impressed with our affiliation with ION Indie Magazine and two of ION Indie Magazine's flagship radio shows. I look forward to the debut of New Music Food Truck and the continuation of Eye On Jamz. Both shows are featuring music and interviews with professional independent artists and they are a welcome addition to our current stable of independent music hosts. I would like to thank Kiki Plesha, Sheldon Snow, as well as Stac and Jim Edwards, for faith in our station and for helping to encourage our ongoing passion."
