Naples Interior Designers Receive Honors at International Window Coverings Expo 2018

NAPLES, Fla. - April 10, 2018 - PRLog -- The combined efforts of Maira Gimenez and Jo Ann Russo, two interior designers at Beverly Hills Window Tinting & Treatments in Naples, FL, earned them an award for second place in the bedding & pillows category at the prestigious 2018 VISION Design and Workroom Competition Awards Gala, held at the Tampa Convention Center in Tampa, FL.

The VISION Design and Workroom Competition, presented and sponsored by Window Fashion VISION magazine, recognizes the industry's best designs and fabrications in a variety of categories.  This one-of-a-kind international competition is the "Academy Awards" of the window coverings industry.

A panel of distinguished window covering design and workroom experts reviewed over 200 entries received from designers in the United States, Canada, Europe, and Japan. Winners were announced during the U.S. window-treatment industry's only trade show, International Window Coverings Expo 2018 held at the Tampa Convention Center which took place March 27-28, 2018.

A customer with a very modern and minimalist style, inspired BHWT&T's designers to create bedding with light and simple colors; shades of blue with white, the perfect combination to create a restful environment. The team incorporated unique handmade Swarovski crystal buttons on the pillows, which brought this modern concept to a higher level of elegance. When complete, it shows how texture, some color, and pattern can really enhance a minimalist, relaxing, and modern look.

Gimenez's approach to interior design is quite simple: "When I enter a space to design for a client, I listen to what the walls and the windows say to me, and I design what that space wants to be," she says.

"We aim to push ourselves to exceed our customers visions, and really live into the high standards we have as part of our culture and values," said Jo Ann Russo, VP and lead designer at Beverly Hills Window Tinting & Treatments. "It's so great to see this is being noticed, and rewarded."

The VISION Design and Workroom Competition highlights the skills and design achievements of individual designers, design firms, and workrooms. Each year, the competition features a wide range of categories including curtains and draperies, specialty treatments, and whole room integration.
