NC Triangle Business Silver Connections Celebrates 10 Year Anniversary

RALEIGH, N.C. - Nov. 12, 2017 - PRLog -- Ten years ago, after much research and planning, Silver Connections began as a full time business providing a much needed service for a specific niche population.

Laura Kay House is the owner of Silver Connections and has an undergraduate degree in Social Work and a Masters Degree in Gerontology. Her expertise is in working with the biology and psychology of aging, grief and loss, the positive benefits of socializing on physical and mental health and reinventing one's life after 55.

"I concluded that there were limited opportunities available for those 55 and over, who were active, to meet others who were also single after the death of a spouse, divorce or never married. My goal has been to provide quality events and travel as opportunities for members to meet others of the same age, with similar experiences, in a safe and pressure-free environment that is not a dating service." said Ms. House. "There have been many ups and downs, many joys and challenges and lots of hard work throughout the last decade. I am proud of the business that has been built and the awards we have won. I have met so many wonderful people along the way, work with outstanding business and venue partners and am delighted with life long friendships that have flourished because of the group. I look forward to the next 10 years!"

In addition to Silver Connections, Laura Kay House is also the owner of Your Travel Memories which offers international and domestic travel opportunities exclusively for active adults, age 55+.
