PHILADELPHIA - June 12, 2017 - PRLog -- Teach Anti Bullying Inc. (TAB) is proud to announce the winner of the 3rd Annual Carmela G. Cerullo Anti Bullying Community Leadership Award.  This award acknowledges those who have offered time, leadership and education to improving their communities and schools through anti-bullying efforts.

The award for 2017 is presented to St. James School, Randall Jefferson (an advisory board member and Producer of Tone and Tenor), and specifically four students who chose to share their bullying experiences on the Tone and Tenor Radio Show. They are Kevine Dupree,

Destiny Fairfax, Mackenzie Austin, and Ayniah Quinerly.  "The students engaged in an open and enlightened conversation about bullying with Dr. Claudio V. Cerullo," says Mr. Jefferson. "To hear young people that have been bullied or were at one time bullies themselves and now want to become advocates for anti-bullying education in our school is outstanding."

A plaque and check for $1,000 to continue their anti-bullying education is presented to the school by Dr. Cerullo. "I am so impressed with these students and their initiative," says Dr. Cerullo. "This is how change happens and we are so proud to honor this school."

This award is funded each year by Nick Stathes, an anti-bullying advocate and former victim from California, and is given in honor of Carmela Cerullo, mother of Teach Anti Bullying's founder Dr. Claudio Cerullo.  Before Carmela G. Cerullo passed in 2014, she asked her son to continue his work and to always exemplify the courage that he showed as a child when he was a victim himself.

Says St. James Head of School, David Kasievich, "As a school, we must be proactive and not reactive to bullying.  I could not be more honored.
