BROOKLYN, N.Y. - Oct. 30, 2016 - PRLog -- Founder of National Publicist Day, Jordanna Stephen (Owner and Principal of APARTMENT|SEVEN), will be hosting its first twitter chat with Crosby Noricks, Founder of PR Couture, on October 30th at 6pm EST.

The twitter chat will discuss the topic Collaboration over Competition: How Publicists Can Come Together to Achieve More. Those in the public relations field will be able to participate in the discussion to see how they can positively elevate the industry. On this day in Public Relations history, Ivy Lee (also known as the "father of modern PR"), in response to a tragic railroad accident, created the first press release. The New York Times was so impressed with this innovative approach that it printed the press release verbatim in its paper on October 30th, 1906.
