By: NVEEE The submission deadline is November 11, 2016 at 11:59 P.M. EST. Eight first place winners will receive a scholarship of $500. each, while two second place winners will receive $250. Students can submit their individual PSAs in one of the following formats: video (30 to 60 seconds), a series (minimum of four) of school appropriate posters, a collection of social media campaign designs for each major platform (Facebook/Instagram/ "The Mark Haines Media Scholarship is extremely personal to NVEEE," expresses Jowharah Sanders, Founder and Executive Director of NVEEE. "Empowering young people to speak out against all forms of bullying including anti-LGBT bullying, while ultimately preventing suicide, is a cause Mark was very passionate about." On Sunday, November 13, 2016, NVEEE will honor Mark Haines and his memory at its annual Artists Against Bullying Showcase, hosted at Sunshine Cathedral 1480 SW 9th Ave, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33315. Winners of the award and scholarship will be invited to attend the event where their work will be featured and celebrated not only by NVEEE's supporters, but also by Mark's friends, family and colleagues.
