PENSACOLA, Fla. - Oct. 17, 2016 - PRLog -- By November, Gulf Coast Based nonprofit, Operation People for Peace, Inc. will have made 7 or more deliveries with Tractor Trailer loads of various items to those in need. These items include thousands of pounds of fresh and non-perishable food items including meats, vegetables, canned goods, comforters and sheets, watermelons, baby diapers, wipes, pacifiers, teething rings, bottles, sippy cups, mattresses, box springs, and furniture.  These items have been and will continue to be delivered to communities in need including areas that have been impacted by the recent disasters and underserved areas that need a Get UP! Areas for distribution include the Orlando, Ft. Myers, Palmetto, St. Petersburg, and Pensacola, areas of Florida; Mobile, AL to Moss Point and Gulfport, MS; Metairie, La Place, Donaldsonville, Houma, Thibodeaux, and Baton Rouge LA. The organization is now planning to serve more underserved communities affected by the recent disasters.  Operation People for Peace, Inc. Chairman, Art Rocker said, "We must continue to be the leading minority organization in America that provides commodities for those in need. In a vision to not only provide necessary commodities for daily sustainability, we are working on housing for underserved communities and legal action against pharmaceutical and medical companies who have provided products and services unsuitable for individuals that ultimately lead to sickness and/or death in underserved communities." Many underserved communities are preyed upon by some companies in the pharmaceutical and medical industry as they continue to promote drugs and procedures that lead to life altering negative outcomes and even death leaving individuals with more problems than they began with. Our Get UP! and inspiration is inspired by the leaders in America who have chosen Rocker to organize the underserved and underrepresented.  Kenneth Feinberg drafted Rocker for the underserved people affected by the BP Oil Spill of April 2010. He felt Rocker would never stop mobilizing and championing for the poor and minority owned businesses. According to Hemant Patel, Chairman of the Asian America Hotel Owner Association (AAHOA), many hoteliers from AAHOA received a total of over $55 million dollars due to the BP Oil Spill of 2010. Rocker stated, "Now we are beginning to receive millions for additional minority businesses and individuals in underserved communities who were damaged by BP.  I am inspired by Magic Johnson who has provided funding and grants to carry out the duties in dealing with the underserved communities. Recently, Oprah Winfrey recognized our organization and Dick Gregory when she highlighted his recent advocacy efforts with our organization, OPFP, in the documentary 'Legends Who Paved the Way.'"

Rocker has begun to develop Project Get UP! a division of OPFP that will be led by his wife, Dr. Jessica Rocker.  Project Get UP! will embrace and promote women in business, education, health, life skills, adoption; building, supporting and sustaining families, and sustainable housing for all in underserved communities.  We will promote minority businesses development and work with religious institutions in communities to developing opportunities where churches can move toward more aggressive businesses programs to service the needs of sustainability in minority business development.
