LifePro Consult Launches Resource to Help Pregnancy Resource Centers Reach Today's Modern Client

TAMPA, Fla. - June 1, 2016 - PRLog -- Building on over two decades of  providing leadership in a pregnancy resource center, delivering trainings to hundreds of volunteers and staff members, as well as serving thousands of women,  two women are launching the first-of-its kind training resource for pregnancy care centers.

Kelli Wild, MSW, a clinical social worker, and Kathy Cunningham, MCC, a Biblical counselor, said they saw the need for an ongoing training resource solely focused on advancing skills related to direct client services to help pregnancy centers meet the needs of today's clients and volunteers.

After working for years in the pregnancy center world, they saw patterns emerge

·       Clients' needs becoming more complex

·       Women returning as clients- with no real life change

·       Centers who only had 1-2 advocatess who could speak to a truly abortion minded woman

·       Babies whose mothers were considering abortion,  and advocates who were not comfortable presenting the adoption option

·       Old materials that didn't speak to the modern client

·       Team members experiencing compassion fatigue and burnout

"Many years ago, Kathy and I started implementing things in the center where we served, as well as in our private practices. We did not know at the time that we were breaking the mold.  We just weren't afraid to try new things. We created training programs to meet needs we had, and client programs with the goal of true impact. We saw positive changes in our clients and in the center where we served," said Wild.

As a result of the programs they implemented and the training they conducted with staff and volunteers they saw:

·       Positive, genuine, long lasting life change in our clients

·       An increase in clients choosing the life affirming option of adoption

·       Staff members renewed

·       Center Leadership feeling more secure in knowing their team is equipped and well trained to better meet the needs of the modern client.

"Then, God gave us an idea," said Cunningham. "What if we could take our learning and share it with pregnancy centers across the country? What if they could see the same transformation we've seen? What if they could access this information at any time?"
