Follow on Google News | Class Teaches Adults and Teens How to Escape Armed Ground Assaults, June 4Todd Miller- a self-defense expert from Martinsville will be in Warsaw, Indiana teaching this empowering personal protection course - "FAST Defense Ground Fighting Against Armed Attackers".
Miller from Martinsville, Indiana will be making a special teaching appearance in Kendallville to teach this class along with local certified FAST Defense instructor, Zach Hayden of ATA Excellence Martial Arts as well as FAST Defense instructor, Steve Zorn of Personal Safety Unlimited in Warsaw. Participants will learn simple self-protection skills designed to effectively escape ground attacks and sexual assault scenarios. This empowering program will be held at ATA Excellence Martial Arts at 111 W. Rush St. in Kendallville. The class will address worst case attack scenarios such as: • Fighting off a mounted attacker with a gun to the head • Fighting off a mounted attacker with a knife to the throat • Fighting off a mounted attacker thrusting a knife • Fighting off a mounted attacker swinging a stick • Fighting from the guard position against an armed attacker • Scenarios that simulate mixed martial arts and sexual assault positions "This class is not about learning complex martial arts techniques or cage fighting," said Steve Zorn. "It's about teaching adults and teens the essential skills to escape violent attacks that might end up on the ground with an attacker that is armed with a knife or gun." Todd is a full time instructor of both FAST Defense and the Martial Arts. He works for Indiana University in the Department of Kinesiology teaching various courses and is a Martial Arts school owner in Martinsville. He has more than 18 years of experience teaching martial arts and self-defense, and has taught adrenal stress scenarios to students ranging from children, teens, moms, and dads to martial arts experts and corporate professionals.
