FERNDALE, Mich. - March 23, 2016 - PRLog -- Whether it is a convention, church, school, senior citizens or the homeschooled, it's a niche that is growing as people are seeking ways to travel and have fun on a fixed budget. It's one-stop shopping and includes the roundtrip motorcoach, meal, entry fees to attractions/actors/docents, beverages and snacks.

"I got the idea for creating Step On Bus Tours because of a client that I promote and market in southwest Michigan - a fascinating part of the state punctuated with history and loaded with the quaint charm of the Amish mixed with friendly city walks and fabulous art and monuments," said Rose Szwed, President, Step On Bus Tours and also her publicity company, Szwed Communications Public Relations, based in Ferndale.

"We've done mobile events for the past 20 years, but never as a separate company. When the economy tanked, I named the company Step On Bus Tours so people know what we are immediately. So, we pulled out the event planning division back in 2005," Szwed said.

We either step on a group's bus or we provide the motor coach, tour bus, or limousine and an experienced Step On Bus tour guide will give an entertaining five to seven hour tour for the customer's preferred trip or from our list of prepared tours. We will plan the day around the area of choice and suggest meal and other stops according to your group's interests and needs.

Tours are great for religious or school groups, seniors, family reunions, employee trips, scouts, history buffs and corporate events, which we are doing more of because they want something different and fun for their employees. Guides are articulate and experienced in conducting tours, and can even dress in character upon request. "I love to ham it up and so do my travelers. Many are regulars." Szwed said.

This is a chance to learn more about the state of Michigan or other area and interesting facts with our cheese DVD's that we make ourselves. "Actually, it is a great way for our interns to build a portfolio. We are dedicated to helping students create spots, social media campaigns and event listings along with everyday office duties." Szwed said.

"Then I started getting calls from church groups interested in me providing tours for members of their congregation. I absolutely love it and have so much fun giving tours. My nature is generally curious, and it all started when I was visiting my customer in Three Rivers and I traveled from my home in Goodrich across I-69 to 94 west and south on US-131. I learned that the highways were actually established by the Native American tribes and some were also used as an Underground Railroad passage.

Once learned, I scoured the libraries and historical societies for more details. I can never stop learning." She said.

Tours are offered seven days a week, rain or shine. The tour leader can step on your bus and start and end the tour from your location, or provide a bus for your group. The tour director is prepared for emergencies, which we dive into on various tours.

"We go the extra mile and make sure that we have wipes, hand towels, T-shirt or scrubs in case of an emergency," Szwed said. "All of the buses we lease have lavatories, DVD and CD players, are clean and comfortable."

Our preferred bus drivers have the appropriate licenses and insurance, too. Our driversknow from our itinerary what to expect and we have a short meeting prior to take off. Bus drivers are provided with a map so there is no question of the route. And, buses have plenty of room to turn their buses and park.

"Understanding the history of the state is basic to our democratic way of life; it gives us a better understanding of our state and nation and promotes a better appreciation of our American heritage."

Beverage and food stops are available upon request. Additional costs will be estimated in advance on a per person basis. All additional costs will be included in the final cost of the tour with full payment due in advance of the tour. Step On Bus Tours will provide the contract.

Rose Szwed of Step on Bus Tours, a licensed and insured tour company, has been leading excursions starting with the Dearborn Inn, Dearborn MI in the mid-1980's.
