ATLANTA - Dec. 15, 2015 - PRLog -- Blanket of Freedom, in an effort to raise money for the support of Veterans with mental illness, has started a new fundraiser campaign project beginning December 15, 2015 through December 21, 2015.  This fundraiser gives donors an opportunity to win $500 prior to the holidays for donating at least $5 towards the campaign.  Donors will receive one (1) entry for every $5 donated toward the campaign.  Therefore the more donated, the more chances to win.  Blanket of Freedom will announce the winner via their Facebook page on December 22, 2015 and funds will be released to the winner upon notification.

Blanket of Freedom's mission is to provide a cultural alternative to traditional treatment methodologies through the use of Expressive Art/Drama Therapeutic Interventions for combat veterans. Within a supportive and safe environment, veterans will be able to safely explore their feelings and emotions surrounded by others who have shared experiences. Blanket of Freedom (BOF) is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization that is dedicated to providing services to combat veterans struggling with mental illness by providing an Expressive/Drama Therapeutic Intervention program which provides an alternative to traditional treatment programs. This approach can provide the context for participants to tell their stories, set goals and solve problems, express feelings, or achieve catharsis. Through drama, the depth and breadth of inner experience can be actively explored and interpersonal relationship skills can be enhanced. Participants can expand their repertoire of dramatic roles to find that their own life roles have been strengthened. Your donation will help these brave warriors get the help they need with a stigma reducing program that allows them the opportunity to explore therapeutic options not previously available through any other traditional program.
