6th Annual “12/12 Sparkling for Charity” Gala

LOS ANGELES - Dec. 8, 2015 - PRLog -- The December 12^th birthdays are being celebrated once again with a sparkling-themed gala event. Attended by 700 guests, the party each year benefits a different non-profit selected for its impact.  Taking place inside the gorgeous ballroom of a private members club in Santa Monica, 12/12 Sparkling’s entertainment highlight is a professional performance of the Waltz and Viennese Waltz.  Sung live by Carly Robyn Green, the beautiful, slow Waltz morphs into the fast-paced Viennese Waltz to Chevelle’s song “The Red,” danced by professional ballroom dancers.

12/12 Sparkling for Charity was founded 6 years ago when, returning from tour with Motley Crue, Avenged Sevenfold, Godsmack and Ellie Goulding, birthday party was sponsored by Gibson Guitars and Backstage Artist Lounge.  Past and current celebrity supporters of 12/12 Sparkling for Charity over the years have included Buckcherry, Butcher Babies, Joshua LeBar, Lyriq Bent, Tommy Lee, Slipknot, Sick Puppies, Asking Alexandria, Harlot, Clifton Collins Jr, Tom Morello, Jerry Cantrell, Alice In Chains, Jane’s Addiction, Five Finger Death Punch, MAGIC!, Lifehouse, Rev Theory, Stone Temple Pilots, In This Moment, Theory of a Deadman, Rhys Coiro, Geena Davis, DJ Bad Ash, Warner Drive, Matt Toka, DJ Leethal, Fred Wreck, Shinedown, Megadeth, Fall Out Boy, New Politics and Al B. Sure, to name a few.

12/12 Sparkling for Charity host committees have included CAA, Paradigm Talent Agency, the Port of Los Angeles, Los Angeles City Council and Nestle.  The Mayor’s Office and LA City Council have presented official certificates at the event in honor of charitable work, officially wishing best from the City of Los Angeles.

2016 partners of 12/12 Sparkling for Charity include Rock The Vote, First Foundation Bank, High Brew Coffee, Kabang Energy Candy, Rock On Supplements, Tito’s Vodka, DIABOLO, Forget Hangovers, Pura Vida Tequila, Man Stuff, John Allan’s, Smile On 3 Photo Booth, Fairytale Brownies, Justin’s Nut Butter and Smile Angels of Beverly Hills.

Inside the event is a silent auction to benefit the Downtown Women’s Center of Los Angeles, locate on skid row, for 38 years, helping women overcome poverty.  Past charity beneficiaries of this event were The Geena Davis Institute on Gender in Media in 2014 and the “I Have a Dream” Foundation in 2013.

In honor of the “sparkling” theme, guests have arrived “sparkling” in many unique ways—body glitter, Christmas garland, Michael Jackson gloves, sparkly shoes, glitter ties, disco shirts, fine diamonds and sapphires. “12/12 Sparkling” is known to literally attract a wide cast of amazing characters—for example, in 2013 both members of “Glee” and members of “Slayer” were in attendance.  Guests this year will once again include corporate CEOs, record label executives, artists, managers, celebrities and politicians.
