The PZ-HDMI & PZ-HDSDI are two new compact capture modules which enable the Raspberry Pi to capture and display live video and audio (2 channel stereo) via external HDMI or HD-SDI video sources. Both modules can accept 1080p HD inputs and developers can access the capture stream output in either MJPEG (30fps) or raw YUV (10fps) formats, e-mediavision recommends use of OMX player which supports hardware based GPU decoding on the Pi2. Both capture devices use the UVC driver found on the Pi, so no additional driver installation is required. The PZ-HDMI & PZ-HDSDI capture modules are USB powered, e-mediavision recommends the use of 2A PSU with the Pi or an external powered USB HUB. Optional ISO micro SD card image and test application is available for developers who want to start developing right away. Both modules are available in cased and bare PCB versions.
