10 Do's and Don'ts of Chicago Party Bus Rental

CHICAGO - Nov. 9, 2015 - PRLog -- Party buses (http://www.viplimousineinc.com) are quickly gaining in popularity across the country.    A party bus (http://www.viplimousineinc.com) can be the perfect transportation solution for bachelor/bachelorette parties, weddings, birthdays, family reunions, proms, fraternity/sorority formals, office parties, and many other events.  But if these so-called “rolling nightclubs” get out of control, they can also be dangerous to all the guests on board.

Granted, any bus with “party” in its name should be fun.  This can be a really unforgettable part of your special event.  However, unfortunately, when alcohol is part of any celebration, a party bus should increase guest safety and reduce your risk – not the other way around.

With fun and safety in mind, here are ten common sense do’s and don’ts for your party bus rental:

DO’s:

1. Make a clear distinction between what a party bus is and isn’t. What it is:  A party bus is a mode of luxury transportation, to and from your special event.  The bus ride contributes to the celebration and, at the same time, ensures the safety and comfort of your guests.
What it isn’t:  A party bus should NOT be a no-holds-barred drunken bash in which over-intoxication and raucous behavior are condoned and even encouraged.

2.  Consider renting a party bus when you need to transport a large group of people to and from a party, celebration, or other event.

3.  Rent a bus from a reputable Chicago Party Bus (http://www.viplimousineinc.com) company.  Verify that the company has a current permit, license, and insurance.  Check references to make sure it has a good reputation.

4.  Beware of rogue operators.  If you are offered a cut-rate price, it could mean that the operator is cutting corners in important areas—such as liability insurance, safety inspections, and properly licensed drivers.  Some may be operating illegally—without the necessary Department of Transportation (DOT) authority to transport passengers for hire.

5.  By all means, enjoy beverages as part of the hospitality and entertainment while onboard your party bus.  Most party buses allow adult passengers to consume alcohol onboard.  But use common sense about it.  Serve and drink responsibly.  Keep in mind, you want to keep your vehicle as clean as possible or you may end up paying sanitation fees.  We suggest making drinks while the vehicle is not in motion.  The buses can be very bumpy, and it is almost guaranteed that you will be spilling drinks all over the place.

6. Bring an extra bag of ice for your trip, we do provide ice but the ice melts quickly. Especially, if we are far from your pickup.

7.  Treat the Chauffeur with respect he is there to make sure you all have fun, stay out of jail and get home safely.  Make sure all your guests know the rules as well so you don’t end up being the one suffering for their mistakes.

8.  Make sure all your guests bring IDs if they plan on consuming any alcohol.  Only guests 21 and over are allowed to drink alcohol.  Driver may request to check id of anyone on the bus for any reason.  Refusal to give the driver identification will result in the trip being cancelled and no refund given.   Any alcohol brought on the bus by minors will be confiscated by the driver and not returned.  Your trip will be cancelled with no refunds.

9.  Follow all safety rules, listen to the driver’s instructions, and refrain from any behavior that could damage the bus or injure a fellow passenger.

10.  Clean up after yourself.  All Buses provide trash bags and receptacles for the convenience of their passengers; these should be passed around several times during the trip.

DON’Ts

1. Never hire a bus company without doing your due diligence. Look up their reviews online.  Research their website.  Make sure you are alway hiring a truly professional Chicago Party Bus Rental (http://www.viplimousineinc.com) Company.

2.  No underage drinking.  Period.  When minors are onboard, the chaperone is responsible for making sure underage passengers do not drink.  The bus driver may ask to see identification, and reserves the right to terminate the charter with no refund if underage drinking is discovered.

3.  No illegal substances.

4.  No weapons.

5.  No smoking.

6.  No standing or dancing on upholstered seats.

7.  No behavior that distracts the driver.

8.  No over-intoxication or disorderly conduct such as fighting, verbal abuse, or behavior that could be deemed “indecent.” (Any of these are grounds for the driver to terminate the charter with no refund.)

9.  No “bus surfing” (i.e., breaking open an emergency exit hatch and climbing onto the roof of the vehicle while in motion or stopped).  For that matter, no putting any body part outside of the vehicle’s windows or emergency exits at any time.  Not only are these behaviors against the law, they could result in serious injury or death.

10.  Don’t leave anything behind.  Check for your purse, wallet, keys, phone, and jacket before you disembark at the end of the night!

There you have it:  Ten do’s and ten don’ts for a party bus experience that’s memorable for all the right reasons, not the wrong ones!
