The Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles contracts with Defense Contractor C-T Watch, Inc

Nov. 9, 2015 - PRLog -- The Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles has partnered with C-T Watch, Inc. to develop a ground breaking training curriculum to better prepare front line office staff, executive leadership, and security personnel at over 400 Jewish facilities in Greater Los Angeles.

The curriculum, named Personnel Resiliency Training or “PRT,” is the brainchild of Director of the Community Security Initiative (CSI), Jason Periard, and CSI Head of Special Projects, Oded Gelfer. “The concept of PRT is to create a culture of security by raising the situational awareness of all staff working or volunteering at Jewish facilities” said Mr. Periard. “In 2010, two street vendors helped foil a bombing attempt in Times Square because they recognized a threat and reported it to law enforcement, and this is the level of awareness we believe PRT will create.” CSI Associate Director/Lead Instructor, Jason Dice will be overseeing the development and delivery of the training for the Federation. “This training will help our community better understand current threats, how to mitigate those threats, and how to properly report them to security and law enforcement professionals " says Mr. Dice.

The defense contractor awarded the PRT contract is Los Angeles based C-T Watch, Inc. This is the same contractor trusted by the Defense Department, Federal, State, and local law enforcement agencies to deliver current top tier training in intelligence and special operations tactics, techniques and procedures. C-T Watch, Inc is a big participant in critical infrastructure protection (CIP) of the United States and is a trusted vendor as well as a very active member of the FBI's InfraGard program in Los Angeles.

C-T Watch, Inc has recently been awarded the only contract to deliver a course specific to the "Threat of ISIS on the Homeland" by FBI InfraGard. Led by Mr. Roque Wicker, C-T Watch has grown into a player in the security training and critical infrastructure arena. C-T Watch is deeply rooted in the training of Tier One Defense and law enforcement units throughout the world. "C-T Watch is shifting its focus on the homeland and training our community stakeholders to be better prepared for a potential disaster or terror related event, this shift in strategy is directly in line with the future strategy of our critical infrastructure protection partners in the federal and state governments" according to Mr. Wicker. "We have the ability and capability to keep our communities safe from harm but we cannot do it alone, law enforcement cannot do it alone, it does take a village and as passé as that sounds it is the only way we as a com-munity will be able to sustain our very existence through security - this is why the PRT training is important to the Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles and C-T Watch alike" adds Mr. Wicker.
