Route One Highways Repairs the Back Bone of Britain

FEATHERSTONE, U.K. - Nov. 4, 2015 - PRLog -- The back bone of Britain, the M6 motorway, recieves specialist treatment from Route One Highways as they are awarded a sub-contract from Cubby Construction as part of the Highways England major roads improvements initiative.

To save what could have been huge travel disruption on the motorway Route One have already completed some of the programmed work in just two weekends.

Working over two Saturday nights Route One, working on the section between between junction 32/33, prepared the exposed bridge deck by fine milling and then by enclosed/open blasted in readiness for the installation of the waterproofing and buried joints. The prepared surface was then primed and waterproofed before being re-surfaced before the heavier volume of traffic hit on the Monday. On the second Weekend the Asphaltic plug joints were installed and the works completed.
