PLANO, Texas - Nov. 4, 2015 - PRLog -- Art in Motion, Moving to a Cure will be held Saturday, November 14, 2015, 7:00pm at the Noah Event Center in Plano, TX and will benefit The American Cancer Society.  The annual event will be a little different this year as it will be a browsing opportunity to preview various art groups, one of which is Epiphany Dance Arts, while grazing the hor’dourves.  The evening will begin at 7:00pm and because of the format, a limited number of tickets will be sold.

Founded by Artistic Director Melissa DeGroat, Epiphany Dance Arts believes art should illuminate a glimpse of something beyond ourselves—something sacred.  Creating and performing unique DanceArt, Epiphany Dance Art is a modern dance and contemporary ballet fusion.  Classes for professional, pre-professional dancers and college students are offered as open classes, master classes and residencies.  DanceArt is used to reach the community through workshops, lectures and classes designed to bring hope and appreciation for dance into people’s lives.

Allison Woodford, Chair for the event says, “Epiphany Dance Arts is an amazing group which exhibits the artistic expression many with cancer still dream of.  The flawless movement expressed by the dancers is magical and mesmerizing.”

Journey into an interactive night filled with lights, sound, movement, artistry and glitz as you enjoy a variety of food and beverages in a cocktail party-like setting. Prepare to be mesmerized by the creativity of musicians, movement performers and visual artists chosen to intrigue and inspire your senses.  Numerous local art groups will perform through out the evening showcasing each individual expression of artistic ability.  Survivors and caretakers of various types of cancer will present throughout the evening their experiences and share highlights of their journey.
