TVS Television Network, The All American Network, Commits to Completely Free, Ad Supported TV

The fourth oldest commercial broadcast TV network is the only one that has remained committed to the concept of free television via ad support. After 55 years of providing free to viewer programming, TVS renews this pledge on digital platforms.

CALIFORNIA CITY, Calif. - Oct. 16, 2015 - PRLog -- TVS Television Network, The All American Network, has decided to remain the only commercially broadcast TV network that provides it's programming free to view  on an ad supported basis. TVS Nostalgia Network, the 72 TVS Micro Channel IPTV and Mobile video service based on Daily Motion.Com, has no overt or hidden subscriber fees and neither will any future TVS video offerings on IPTV, Mobile, OTT, and other future delivery services.

"We're old school, and always have been," explained TVS Television Network CEO Tom Ficara, who is celebrating his 25th year at the helm of TVS. "We have always found that our fans and  our advertisers benefit from the free to view, ad supported model, and we have no intentions of presenting any TVS program services with any subscriber fees whatsoever."

TVS Nostalgia Network, the first TVS ad supported IPTV and Mobile, is presenting the 10,000 title TVS Classic Sports and TVS Classic TV libraries on 72 TVS Micro Channels. The service is based on Daily Motion.Com and can be viewed at no charge on an ad supported, video on demand basis at www.dailymotion.com/tvsglobalmedia

While TVS does play traditional ad servers with establishment ads, the bulk of TVS advertising comes from Direct Response Advertising, Per Inquiry Advertising, Barter Advertising, and Longform Advertising.

"For 55 years, we have worked with the non traditional advertiser to be sure they too have a national advertising platform," Ficara continued. "We have started many national advertisers who never were on national TV prior to our efforts with them. We have even gone as far as to make their TV spots!"

On the digital platforms, TVS treats advertisements like programming. In addition to appearing within the Classic TV and Classic Sports shows on TVS Nostalgia Network, advertisers on TVS are promoted as actual programs and are placed on TVS Micro Channels to enhance their availability to viewers.

Amazingly, according to Daily Motion.Com analytices, the TVS commercials, coordinated through TVS Consumer Direct, rank in the Top Ten of programs viewed each week. This week, the top two viewed shows on TVS Nostalgia Network are commercials! Furthermore, four of the Top Ten Shows are commercials!

"Because we have always been a niche network, our target audience is different than that of the traditional networks," Ficara said. "While they broad brush, we target our audience, whether it be males for sports, or baby boomers for our classic TV offers."

TVS Television Network is currently launching a TVS Classic Sports Network package on VEOH, and the TVS Television Network  on ROKU, the first TVS venture into the OTT platform. All are free to view, ad supported, and video on demand.

TVS Nostalgia Network offers classic TV shows from the first 40 years of commercial TV in the USA. Shows like Flip Wilson, The Gong Show, Bonanza, Johnny Carson, Jack Benny, My Favorite Martian, Dobie Gillis, Bat Masterson, The Lone Ranger, Andy Williams, Beverly Hillbillies, Petticoat Junctiion, Green Acres, Doris Day, and dozens of others appear on the 72 TVS Micro Channels. The TVS Classic Sports library events also appear on the dedicated TVS Micro Channels on the service.

"We think of our viewers as family," Ficara concluded. "We are happy to provide them with programming that they enjoy and can't get in other places and we are happy to connect them with advertisers that can help and enrich their lives. It's worked well for 55 years, and we're not about to change that concept now!"

The TVS Television Network is the fourth oldest commercial broadcast network in the USA. Founded  in 1960, TVS has produced and distributed thousands of TV shows to a national audience. From 1960-85, TVS was considered the worldwide leader in sports, providing college football, WFL Football, college basketball, ABA basketball, NASL Soccer, IWA Wrestling, Championship Boxing, LPGA and PGA Golf,  PBA and LPBT Bowling, WCT Tennis, AIAW Womens Sports Championships, the NCAA Mens Basketball Tourament, NASCAR, IMSA, and USAC Racing plus many more national sports events.

TVS is located in Canil, CA - halfway between Las Vegas and Hollywood, where the company is developing an 80 acre audio and video studio complex.
