The Mandrell Company Expands Urban Financial Literacy Seminar for Massachusetts Residents

QUINCY, Mass. - Oct. 6, 2015 - PRLog -- BOSTON- The Mandrell Company (http://mandrellco.com/), announces their partnership with NAACP Boston Branch (http://www.bostonnaacp.org/) and the expansion of their community outreach program, Urban Money Matters (UMM), to help residents in urban communities to learn the importance of financial literacy and homeownership. The Urban Money Matters event will be held from 2 p.m.- 4 p.m. on Saturday, October 24, 2015 in Mattapan, MA at the Mattapan Branch of the Boston Public Library. Participants will have the opportunity to learn quick tips on how to repair bad credit, steps to getting yourself on the path to homeownership, the home buying timeline and what to consider when searching, and much more. This Urban Money Matters event follows several successful events held at Roxbury Community College and The Strand Theatre where over 80 people participated.

The National Bureau of Economic Research suggest there is a strong positive relationship between financial literacy and retirement planning. “We believe good money management not only creates financial security, but it also builds a sense of financial freedom from everyday money constraints,” Urban Money Matters.  The Urban Money Matters program covers various topics from Balancing Your Budget to The Importance of Owning A Home.

The Urban Money Matters event will be held from 2 p.m.-4 p.m. on Saturday, October 24, 2015 in Mattapan, MA at the Mattapan Branch of the Boston Public Library, located at 1350 Blue Hill Ave. Mattapan, MA.
