Lambda Epsilon Omega Chapter Presents Annual Community Health & Wellness Fair

DECATUR, Ga. - Sept. 23, 2015 - PRLog -- Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Lambda Epsilon Omega Chapter will host its Annual Community Health and Wellness Fair on October 3, 2015 on the campus of Beulah Missionary Baptist Church Family Life Center located at 2340 Clifton Springs Road, Decatur, GA 30034. The event will begin at 8:30am and run to 1:30pm.  The Health and Wellness Fair offers a range of appropriately-targeted health screening tests at no cost to members of the community.  We are pleased to host it each year,” says Betty P. Stuckey, president of the chapter.

The Health and Wellness Fair was established to promote mental and physical wellbeing, encourage health improvements, and offer screenings that identify potential threats to a person's health. Attendees will be able to participate in health screenings, exercise coaching, special demonstrations, fun and games, prizes and giveaways, and a wealth of information from guest speakers. Health screenings that will be offered include vision, dental, diabetes, blood glucose and blood pressure. Also there will be flu shots available and administered by the DeKalb Board of Health. Mammograms will be offered onsite as well and four mammograms will be given away. Those interested in receiving a free mammogram should send an email to program@lambdaepsilonomega.com. The deadline to register is September 25, 2015.

The members of Lambda Epsilon Omega Chapter care about our community and want to ensure we are able to work with healthcare providers to embrace and educate attendees on the many diseases that affect the community.
