Home Helpers of North Shore Relaunches with New Owners

BEVERLY, Mass. - Aug. 26, 2015 - PRLog -- Madalena Robo and her mother Miranda Robo are looking forward to providing a higher level of care and customer service to the seniors and families in their community through their new business, Home Helpers of North Shore.

“We opened this business because we saw a great opportunity to improve the quality of life for seniors and families in this community as well as provide for our family. When Madalena found herself interested in opening her own business, she partnered with her mother, Miranda, to purchase the local Home Helpers & Direct Link franchise. Miranda’s career has always been in teaching young children and she opened her first business, Playball, eight years ago. She’ll be helping with the office work while Madalena, who studied International Business with a French minor at the University of Massachusetts Boston, is working with families and caregivers.

“As a teacher and a business owner, I’ve had a dedication to helping people grow in a healthy, caring and loving environment. That’s the driving force in my career and I’m excited about bringing that commitment to Home Helpers,” Miranda said. “We are looking forward to building on the reputation of loving and caring for others and investing in the community.”

Home Helpers and Direct Link offers free in-home consultations and works with each client to create a flexible, affordable care plan based on a person’s individual needs. Services offered include companionship, laundry, light housekeeping, respite care, meal preparation and transportation as well as medication management and care management.

Part of the inspiration for buying Home Helpers of North Shore was Miranda’s mother, who they brought with them to the United States when they moved from Albania in 1996.

“My grandmother has lived with us since we moved to the states and, as we built our lives here, we didn’t have the means or the opportunity to hire in-home care. We understand the benefits of having someone come in and help the family with non-medical tasks. We want to provide those services for the families and seniors in our community,” Madalena said.
