FairTSA Announces Licensing Agreement with SoloCoco Organics LLC

MIAMI - Aug. 11, 2015 - PRLog -- New Lebanon, NY, – FairTSA, an innovative global Fair Trade standard holder, announces completion of a formal licensing agreement with SoloCoco Organics. Starting as a family business three and a half years ago on the north coast of the Dominican Republic as “Clarke’s Organics”, founder Daniel Dalet tested many methods for virgin coconut oil production including fermentation, centrifugation and mechanical expellers, ultimately pursuing Direct Micro Expelling (DME). DME creates skilled labor opportunities as well as a product superior in flavor and a long shelf life. As the operation has grown Clarke’s created the brand SoloCoco in 2013 to sell virgin coconut oil to the American Market.

DME is a sustainable process powered by biomass that allows for uniform quality control because of the operation’s small scale. SoloCoco’s commitment to DME has created a great opportunity for single mothers seeking work in the local community. Many of the women are heads of household with no advanced education, and some are not proficient in reading or writing. Supporting the female workforce has become the focus of SoloCoco’s Fair Trade program.

Clarke’s Organics and SoloCoco, founded and owned by the same people, ensures nothing less than a top quality production process from growing the coconuts to the finished product, 100% organic, unrefined coconut oil.
