Berger and Green Attorney Mark E. Milsop becomes Chairman of Amicus Curiae Committee

PITTSBURGH - Aug. 3, 2015 - PRLog -- Attorney Mark E. Milsop of Berger and Green has become the Chairman of the Pennsylvania Association for Justice’s Amicus Curiae Committee.  Mr. Milsop has previously served a term of 2 years as vice chair of the committee and will serve a term of 2 years as chairman.

The purpose of the Committee is to file Amicus Curiae briefs in the Pennsylvania Appellate Courts in cases which present an issue of importance to injury victims in Pennsylvania.  An Amicus Curiae brief is a “friend of the court” brief in which a non-party offers guidance to the Court on the issues before it in a particular case.  The committee votes on whether or not to participate in cases in which the committee’s participation has been requested. The committee currently consists of 40 volunteer attorneys from throughout Pennsylvania who donate their time and the cost of the briefs.

Attorney Milsop joined Berger and Green, P.C. in 2007, where he proudly represents injured accident victims in personal injury claims including: car accidents, burn injuries, dog bites, slip and fall incidents, and wrongful death claims. He has 21 years of experience in personal injury law.

Berger and Green is proud to have Attorney Milsop be recognized as a 2015 Pennsylvania Super Lawyer. Mr. Milsop was also recognized as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer consecutively from 2011 through 2014.
