Follow on Google News | New Civil Litigation Firm Correro & Leisure, P.C. Files First CaseCorrero & Leisure, P.C. is proud to announce that they recently filed their first case as a new civil litigation law firm. The case involves a retaliation claim, in which multiple plaintiffs sued the defendant to recover damages for being terminated.
Fluor is facing a Retaliation Claim under the Federal False Claims Act after allegedly concealing millions of dollars’ worth of lost government property in Afghanistan and then firing three employees—the plaintiffs—for attempting to report the illegal behavior. The plaintiffs were employed by Fluor in Afghanistan between 2012 and 2014. While overseas, they discovered evidence that Fluor was concealing millions of dollars in government property losses. Although the plaintiffs made concerted efforts to file the appropriate missing inventory reports with the Government, the lawsuit claims that Fluor retaliated against them for doing so, eventually resulting in the termination of all three plaintiffs. According to the plaintiffs, Fluor engaged in numerous attempts to harass and falsely accuse them. Fluor’s behavior indicates a violation of the FCA’s whistleblower protections and should result in back pay, reinstatement, and compensatory, and special damages. Attorneys Mark A.
