New Line of Tangram Fury Puzzle Books Have Launched

CEDAR HILLS, Utah - July 8, 2015 - PRLog -- Peepsock Press announced today a new line of tangram puzzle books, the “Tangram Fury Puzzle Books.”  This new line of books are similar in their approach as the Tangram Fury eBooks and Tangram Fury Puzzle Packs, in that each book has a set theme.  These printed books have paperback covers, are 9”x6” in size, and each have at least 130 pages.

“The Tangram Fury eBooks are great for use on handheld devices,” Doug Nufer the founder of Peepsock Press and inventor of the Tangram Fury puzzle game said.  “The printed books will save puzzle fans the effort and cost involved in printing out the puzzles they want to solve.  Each book contains a template for a standard, 7-piece tangram puzzle that they can either cut out directly from the book, or photocopy and then cut out.  Additionally, they will have access to each puzzle in its printed format.”

When asked why printed tangram books would be intriguing, Doug responded, “Electronic devices are great and fun, but as much as we claim it to be true, print is still not yet dead.  There’s still something fun and ‘real’ about holding a tangible book in your hands and turning the pages with your fingers, rather than just swiping them left or right with a fingertip.”

“The printed books aren’t intended to replace the ebooks, any more than the ebooks are intended to replace the printed books.  These are simply two different mediums for two different target markets,” Nufer explained.  “Actually, our first thought was to simply produce printed versions of the original ebooks.  When we revisited the ebooks, we decided that they were too brief to be as effective in print as we wanted them to be.”

The new line of printed tangram puzzle books are longer and contain more puzzles and information than had been released in the original Tangram Fury eBooks.  While the original ebooks were approximately 50 pages each, each of the printed books are 130 or more pages each.

“Each of the new printed Tangram Fury Puzzle Books will also be available as ebooks,” Nufer said.  “So, if you still prefer the digital format, you can still receive the same content in that format.  It’s really a win-win scenario because there are more puzzles available and they can be had in either print or digital formats.”

The first wave of Tangram Fury Puzzle Books will consist of 18 volumes of puzzles.  The themes for these books include themes similar to the original eBooks and Puzzle Packs such as, the alphabet, animals, birds, fish, parks & sites, science, Hawaii, and farms.  There are also new themes with new puzzles, such as sci fi and comic cons.  The sports theme has been expanded to have one book for summer sports and a second for fall/winter sports.

Each book contains a bonus section of tangram cards for a Tangram Fury Matching Game.  Each book has a dozen two-sided cards that can be cut out from the book, or photocopied and then cut out for play.  Each book’s set of cards can be combined with those of the other books to create an expanding deck of cards.  The cards are also arranged in the book such that they could be photocopied onto colored paper and used with the main and original Tangram Fury competitive puzzle game.

The books will be released one per week for the next 18 consecutive weeks.  “This will allow fans of the game to better budget and afford the overall collection,” Nufer explained.  “We felt it would be too intimidating to flood the market with 18 books all at once.  People seem to prefer a series to come out over time.  We decided to not spread it out over too much time, so that those who want to collect them quickly, can do so.”
