GZA GeoEnvironmental, Inc. awards Shareholder's Grant to The Salvation Army: Kids Cafe

BEDFORD, N.H. - June 30, 2015 - PRLog -- GZA GeoEnvironmental, Inc., a leading environmental and geotechnical engineering consulting firm, has awarded a $2,500 Shareholder’s Grant to The Salvation Army: Kids Café in Manchester, New Hampshire based on an application from Jeffrey D. Rowell, P.E. an Associate Principal in the Bedford office of GZA.

GZA bestows four roughly $2,500 grants each year to organizations whose specific programs would best benefit from the award.  The Shareholder’s Grant program was established to support employee volunteerism and charity work in the firm’s communities and throughout the world.

Rowell proposed The Salvation Army: Kids Café as a recipient of the GZA Shareholder’s Grant based on the program’s mission to provide hot meals and after school activities to 100 – 150 inner city children.

In his grant application, Rowell, who has been a member of the Advisory Board of The Manchester, NH Salvation Army Corps for the past two years, said “I would like to provide much needed financial support to the Kids Café program to assist with the Salvation Army’s mission of nurturing the inner city youth who benefit from the daily services.”

Rowell, a resident of Fremont, New Hampshire, has been with GZA for 23 years.  His areas of specialization include property condition assessments, asbestos, lead and mold management, site investigations, remedial design and construction support services.

He received his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and a Master’s degree in Geotechnical/Environmental Engineering from the University of Massachusetts – Lowell.

Rowell holds memberships in the New Hampshire Section of the American Society of Civil Engineers and the Association of Energy Engineers.
