Two Corvette Stingray Coupes Won By Houston Man in 2012 Corvette Dream Giveaway!

CLEARWATER, Fla. - June 29, 2015 - PRLog -- The 2012 Corvette Dream Giveaway came to an end on December 30, 2012. Vernon Grew of Houston, Texas, was the grand prize winner of two Corvettes.

Mr. Grew received the keys to both a 1967 Corvette Stingray Coupe and a matching 2012 Corvette Stingray Coupe that was upgraded by Lingenfelter Performance Engineering to 570hp! In addition, Mr. Grew received $35,000 cash to help pay the prize taxes.

The above photo shows Mr. Grew sitting behind the wheel of his new 1967 Corvette Stingray Coupe. Mr. Grew entered the 2012 Corvette Dream Giveaway on October 8, 2012, by making a $100 tax-deductible donation.

Mr. Grew accepted the prize package at the award ceremony on Friday, January 25, at Alternative Automotive Technologies in Troy, Michigan. Key executives from DG Group, Inc, were on hand to see Mr. Grew receive the keys to both Stingray Coupes. The keys to the 1967 Corvette were handed to Mr. Grew by Patrick Meehan, President of DG Group, Inc. The keys to the 2012 Corvette were handed to Mr. Grew by Mark Breiner, CEO of DG Group, Inc.

Mr. Grew received the news that he won both Corvettes via phone on Friday, January 11. “I was totally floored,” Mr. Grew said at the time, proclaiming he has been a Corvette enthusiast his entire life.

The excitement continued at the award ceremony when Mr.Grew got to see the two Corvettes in person for the first time,“I was extremely impressed with the quality of the cars,” Mr. Grew said. “My nephew attended the award ceremony with me and we were both just blown away by the cars. The 2012 Corvette Dream Giveaway benefited a  good charity which is the main reason I decided to enter. Dream Giveaway does a great job of helping all types of organizations.”
