CHEYENNE, Wyo. - June 25, 2015 - PRLog -- Test-based baby product review website, BabyGearLab, has released the results of their 2015 best baby carrier review.  Over the course of five months, editors pitted fifteen popular carriers against each other to find which would out-perform the rest.  Based on extensive testing and real world use, each pack was graded on a strict set of criteria including: baby’s comfort, baby’s safety, ease-of-use, parent’s comfort and ease of cleaning.

Following are the award winners:

Two high performing carriers actually landed the coveted Editors’ Choice Award, a rare occurrence in the ultra-competitive comparisons.  The honor is shared by the Tula Ergonomic Baby and the Onya Baby Outback.

“The Tula is easy to use, carried extras in a handy storage pocket, and kept both parent and baby comfortable for hours,” notes BabyGearLab founder, Dr. Juliet Spurrier.  “It hit all our marks, including simplicity in design, soft, comfortable fabric with padding in all the right places, and durable construction.”

“The Onya is a feature-packed, sporty carrier that our dad testers really enjoyed using,” states Dr. Spurrier.  “It’s made of a lightweight rip-stop fabric and can even be converted into a ‘chair’ for use when out and about with baby, a feature we didn’t see anywhere else.”

Earning Best Value was the Infantino Sash Mei Tai.  “This carrier is a simple concept that allows for easy transport and on-the-go use,” says Spurrier.  “The soft fabric and wide seat left both baby and parent comfortable during periods of extended wear.”

Lastly, the Baby K’tan was named Top Pick for Use With an Infant.  “As simple as they come when it comes to wrap-style carriers, the K’tan is quick and comfortable to use,” notes Spurrier.  “It offers that close, secure hold which most newborns and small infants really prefer.”

BabyGearLab has also published a complimentary article entitled “How to Choose the Best Baby Carrier,” which will guide parents through the problematic process of finding their perfect piece of baby gear in an endless sea of options.

The carriers were tested by real-world families who used them over the course of their day to day lives.  The carriers were taken on a variety of outings, thrown into strollers, cars and diaper bags, adjusted and passed between different sized users all while receiving critical, comparative analysis.
