Forecast Health Selected to Pitch at the 2015 SOURCE Forum for Healthcare

DURHAM, N.C. - June 17, 2015 - PRLog -- We are excited to participate in the upcoming 2015 SOURCE Forum: Healthcare in Raleigh/Durham.  SOURCE, a collaboration between Village Capital, The Hitachi Foundation, and Investors’ Circle, will be hosting the 2015 SOURCE Forum: Healthcare in Raleigh/Durham Pitchfest on June 18th.  The activity engages entrepreneurs with solutions that have the potential to increase and/or improve access to both healthcare and treatment for low-wealth individuals.

“It’s an honor to get selected from competitive applicant pool representing a cross-section of the best healthcare enterprises addressing the ‘health-wealth’ gap,” said Michael Cousins, PhD, Chief Analytics Officer and President, Forecast Health.  “We are committed to use predictive analytics on patient data to reduce the risk of re-admissions. And we use person-level data, not just ZIP code socioeconomic data, to identify patients who are vulnerable and need extra support.”

During the event, twelve innovative ventures will participate in the day-long event that will include a capital roundtable for regional investors, an operational strategy session for entrepreneurs, and one-on-one mentoring from investors.

The forum will culminate in a pitchfest to leading investors in the healthcare.  Prizes will be awarded in the form of grant money: one through peer-selection by the participating companies, one by Investors’ Circle’s local angel investors, and one that honors mission alignment.
