So you’ve decided to learn more about Time & Attendance

WITNEY, U.K. - June 9, 2015 - PRLog -- Organisations have been coming to us for all sorts of reasons as to why they are interested in exploring a Time & Attendance system, in hope that it will help them prosper. Arguably the most obvious, and perfectly legitimate reason is to simply understand exactly what hour’s staff members are working. Are they arriving to work on time? Are they leaving early? Different organisations take a different stance on how they deal with the information that is gathered, but if you think that employees are the most expensive commodity to them, don’t you want to be getting your money’s worth? To think as well that there is such a simple remedy. If the serial offender was to know that every day he now turned up 5 minutes late, a system was to deduct them 15 minutes pay and automatically calculate it with a rounding rule, said employee is likely to shape up or move on.

However that alone may not entice many enough to justify the investment, so the next thing to consider is Rota Planning made easy. Say goodbye to the days of planning these on paper, or complicated spreadsheets that have so much colouring to them, it looks more like something a child has used for finger painting. Imagine instead a week view, where you set the departments, the shifts and the job roles required to fill them, sound good? Well that’s exactly what you have with Rota Horizon’s department rota. This too will allow you to view the culprit’s guilty of not working their full shifts and not using the clock in/out system as they should be. Imagine also being able to plan a 3, 4 or 5 week rota pattern? A dream made reality using Horizon’s workgroups function.

So you’re at the cliff edge but you’re not quite sold? Ok, I believe we have what’s required to get you to jump. So while staff members have been clocking in and out, Rota Horizon has been busy in the background collating that information. Not only to tell you exactly when people arrived and left, but to produce over 400 reports to ease your life, increase operational efficiency and justify future business decisions. So whether it’s penalising those serial offenders again by putting the Bradford Factor Report in front of them (Highlighting a horrendous automatically produced score), Reviewing the Payroll Summary Report, (Providing a full break down of the hours worked in a selected period against the relevant pay rates imported from their payroll system) or the contracted hours report (Looking at what staff are contracted to work against what hours they actually completed for a selected period) the likelihood is that Rota Horizon has the relevant report waiting to arm you for whatever Time & Attendance related task you are faced with.

Well I thought we’d be arranging a demonstration by this point, but you want the full pitch, so I’ll oblige. Finally, at the moment how long do spend completing your Payroll? If you’re unsure please go and ask the person who’s responsible for completing this. If you’re unsure of who this is, she’ll be the 22 year old in the corner that’s been with the company 6 months, looks 60 now and on the verge of a nervous breakdown. But you can help her, Payroll has been a burden on organisations since Steve here at Thinking Software was young. I’ll send you a picture of Steve and you’ll appreciate it’s quite some time. Imagine now though, even though Rota Horizon has already done so much, it’s going to go one better. So all the hours that staff have been recording by clocking in and out are ready and waiting. Simply the push of a ‘Process’ button away from being exported to populate your Payroll.  So whether this is simply to excel spreadsheet or seamlessly to likes of Sage or Pegasus. That poor Payroll lady’s job has just been dramatically decreased, increasing her life expectancy as a result.
