The Glow In The Night 5k returns to Crown Point, IN

CROWN POINT, Ind. - June 8, 2015 - PRLog -- NR Road Racing will hold the Glow In The Night 5k in Crown Point on September 19th, 2015 at 8:00 PM central to benefit the Giving BackPack Foundation. The event will be held on the Lake County Fairgrounds (889 S Court St, Crown Point, IN 46307). Race registration is $40 for individuals and $30 per person for teams of 4 or more. Prices will increase $5 on August 18th. There will be a $50 walk up registration fee. All ages are welcome, however, anyone 12 and older must be registered.  If you are not interested in running, we strongly encourage you to volunteer! We take the Glow in the Night 5k to the next level, leaving you with a one of a kind experience! Be prepared to get completely covered in glow powder while walking or running the 3 mile course under the cool glow of the black lights. All ages and runner/walker levels are welcome to participate! This is a family friendly event that will leave you glowing from head to toe! The Glow in the Night course will have designated parts of the course for the glow zones lit by black lights. At these glow zones glow-ologists will bombard participants in order to cover them in color. All of the colors are 100% natural and are safe to digest, although not recommended. Come for the 5k, but stay for the glowing after party! Dance the night away under the black lights while getting covered in more glow dust. You won’t want this fun one of a kind night to end!

The Giving BackPack Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation with a passion for supplying unprivileged children with backpacks and school supplies.  The supplies are extremely critical for children to learn efficiently and learn at the pace in which the curriculum intends.  Our primary program consists of a year-round school supply replenishment objective, in which we want to grow large enough to service Lake County, Indiana.  Our organization began operation in December 2011, and received our 501(c)3 letter of determination in March 2012.  Since our incorporation, The Giving BackPack Foundation has collected over $20,000 along with enough supplies to fill 2,000 backpacks.  Our organization has also partnered with Boys and Girls Club to distribute 400 toys to children and school corporations to give over 1,000 backpacks.
