Experience the Blues with ccMixter Artists Unreal_dm and Admiral Bob

LOS ANGELES - May 27, 2015 - PRLog -- Unreal_dm and Admiral Bob have shared their blues rock songs with the ccMixter.org community for many years. Rocking Blues on ccMixter collects some of their best loved bluesy singles. It is the first album in a series highlighting the two prolific and highly respected musicians. ArtisTech Media is delighted to release this swinging collection as a TuneTrack-LP today.

“I'm really excited to see these collaborations with Unreal_dm become an album,” shares Admiral Bob. “For me, there was no goal in mind on any of these tracks - just tune-smithing for the enjoyment of two journeyman musicians who love playing the blues, and who've played more dive bars than anyone can keep track of. And in my view, that's really how the blues should be played - road worn and for enjoyment; I hope everyone who listens will hear it in the same spirit.”

Admiral Bob is the nom de plume of Richard Bethell, a Canadian songwriter, vocalist, guitarist, bassist, keyboard player, and mandolinist. He joined ccMixter in 2007 and began uploading his vocals, instrumental samples, and remixes. His soulful, husky voice and engaging songwriting enticed Unreal_dm to produce countless renditions of his songs. Unreal_dm is a multi-instrumentalist from the UK. He was a professional musician from the late 1960’s until he retired in 2005. He joined ccMixter in 2009 and has uploaded over four hundred remixes with his wailing guitar solos and signature sound.

“Most of the credit on these album tracks must go to Admiral Bob; he had all the melodies and lyrics down. I just arranged and played on them trying to capture the moment,” Unreal_dm states. “The other big thanks must go to ccMixter for making it possible for two musicians that live over three thousand miles apart and have never met put this album together.”

ccMixter.org is a community of musicians and producers who collaborate through the use of Creative Commons licenses. By uploading the individual vocal and instrument tracks of a song, musicians allow and encourage other artists to freely remix and create new music. Unreal_dm and Admiral Bob shared their songs through ccMixer, which resulted in this album.
