May 15, 2015 - PRLog -- Sinuous, soft and familiar, the Blob S lamp furnishes with a strong luminous appeal and an irregular profile that recalls a natural shape. Exploiting the expressive qualities of plastic materials, the white molded polyethylene diffuser envelops the light source entirely and emits a diffused and intense light. Available as a table lamp, a wall lamp and a ceiling lamp, it can be used alone or in multiple compositions to achieve charming lighting scenes.

Wall or ceiling lamp with diffused light. Rotational molded polyethylene diffuser, white liquid coated metal mount and ceiling mount, electronic ballast. Wall version available for outdoor use with IP44 degree of protection.

About the Designer

Karim Rashid was born in Cairo, Egypt; half-English, half Egyptian and raised mostly in Canada. He received a Bachelor of Industrial Design in 1982 from Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada. He pursued graduate design studies in Naples, Italy, with Ettore Sottsass and others, then moved to Milan for one year at the Rodolfo Bonetto Studio. He opened his own practice in New York City in 1993.
