Broussard Logistics Celebrates 37th Anniversary, Launch of Two Software Updates During April

HOUSTON - May 4, 2015 - PRLog -- This April marks the 37th year that Broussard Logistics, LLC has been in business, and the launch of two new updates to their transportation software.

When the company was founded in 1978, they set out to be freight consultants. The company quickly expanded and developed into a 3rd party logistics group (3PL) with a focus on technology. The company has grown to serve anywhere from 400-600 shippers from all over the U.S., which includes clients in manufacturing, distributing, and most recently, commercial retailers.

According to Broussard Logistics Vice President of Business Development Mike Broussard, they have been able to stay in business for so long by quickly reacting to the market’s needs and constantly updating their Transportation Management System with recommendations from clients.

“Reacting to the market’s needs of shippers is the reason we’ve been able to stay in business for as long as we have,” explained Broussard. “If the idea is good enough, we build it for no cost and add it as a service that all of our clients can benefit from.”

Two of the newest updates launched this month. One of the updates is a bill of lading (BOL)/Rating that fully integrates with a client’s enterprise resource planning (ERP) software, which took about six months to design and perfect. The other update is a dashboard reporting module that provides clients with updates of their shipping history.

“We believe that process-oriented technology is the future - especially as it relates to third party logistics and how we can help collaborate with our clients and their customers,” added Broussard. “We’ve chosen this industry in order to streamline our client's business, and the ones who do it well will be around for a while!”
