By: Ruggles Mabe Terrell Architecture Dedicated to the idea that quiet, elegant and romantic architecture could improve the lives of his clients, Don and his team have designed more than 900 residential and commercial projects since opening offices in Denver in 1970. A dedicated community leader and respected mentor to many colleagues, associates and future designers, Don is also founder and past president of the Rocky Mountain Chapter of the Institute of Classical Architecture and Art (ICAA), a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing the practice and appreciation of the classical tradition in architecture. These are just a few of Don’s notable accolades and accomplishments. Don’s commitment to his community is also recognized, noting his support of the national anti-violence program, Bully-Proofing Schools, and Denver’s arts community donating more than 1,000 hours to create a vision for the redevelopment of Boettcher Concert Hall at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts. He is also committed to supporting the University of Colorado Denver, College of Architecture and Planning, and the ACE (Architecture, Construction, Engineering) Don and the other inductees are profiled in the April issue Colorado Homes & Lifestyles.
