Follow on Google News | Detroit Lions Linebacker Stephen Tulloch Hosts 3rd Annual Free Youth Football CampThe youth camp will kick off a week of community efforts by Tulloch entering his Annual Celebrity Softball Game where Team Tulloch will take on Lions players on the offensive side of the ball, lead by a surprise captain. The Celebrity softball game will be at King Boring Field in Dearborn, Michigan on Friday, June 5, 2015 and will be a night “Under the Lights” as the Lions take the softball field in the effort to raise money for the Stephen Tulloch Foundation and Operation 55 that is currently adopting 55 schools in Detroit. Gates for the softball game open at 5pm and the much-anticipated Home Run Derby starts at 6pm with the game immediately following. The youth football camp will be from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. and all participants will receive a free shirt, lunch and chances to win contest prizes from Stephen Tulloch. You must pre-register to participate; “This is my third year putting on a youth football camp and softball game here in Detroit and I love being able to get out there, meet the kids and really teach them the fundamentals of the game, with my teammates,” said Tulloch. This year we’re having 250 kids come out and it will be a fun day with football, lunch and they’ll get to meet some of my teammates that come out and help volunteer. I'm really looking forward to all of my foundation events this year and getting back on the field with my teammates.” All participants of the football camp will also receive ONE free ticket to the 6th Annual Celebrity Softball game on June 5 that will include your favorite Detroit Lions players trading in the football for a softball as they show their skills on the baseball diamond for charity.
