What:          Autism Academy is hosting Open House events to help families fill out Empowerment Scholarship Account (ESA) tax credit applications for 2015.

Enrollment for is beginning with ESA scholarships:  Applications for the next school year will be available  now to April 1st. The application process for the 2015-2016 Empowerment Scholarship is open now. The final deadline to submit applications and any required documents is April 1 by 3pm–no extensions will be granted by the Department of Education.

Special:         Under the category of Autism for the ESA scholarship the Autism Academy will accept the scholarship as full tuition

Important:     1. You must apply before April 1st and it must be emailed. Autism   Academy will not only fill out your application with you but will help you every step of the way including scanning and emailing your application when it is filled out

2. You do not have to choose a school until June 1st

         3. If accepted you can still reject the acceptance if you choose not to enroll

Why:          Disabled/Displaced(Lexie's Law) awards are available for students with a state approved disability(ies) or children who have been through the Arizona state foster care system. Students must be in grades Kindergarten -12 who have a public school IEP, MET OR 504 plan, as well as preschoolers who have a public school IEP or MET OR have been in the Arizona foster care system (K-12 only).

Tax credit companies have many types of applications. If the child has an IEP/MET and has been in a public or charter for 90 days (any 90 days does not matter what part of the prior year) in the prior school year they will qualify for the Disabled/Displaced application.
