By: Lightbridge Academy “Middlesex County is a popular area of New Jersey for families, and in keeping with the needs of many dual-income parents – there are a lot of child care facilities here from which to choose,” explains Jessica Cervone, Center Director for Lightbridge Academy of North Brunswick. “We’ve seen our fair share of centers open and close around us while we have been blessed with anywhere from 85-100% enrollment capacity. That is due in large part to our teacher retention, owner involvement, an obvious devotion to the families we serve and a commitment to the Core Values of the Lightbridge Academy franchise organization. While we may have a great new name on our sign out front, those things haven’t changed in the decade we’ve been here. If anything, we just keep getting better at fulfilling each one with each passing year.” The Core Values at the heart of each Lightbridge Academy comprise: Care deeply with every genuine interaction Happiness – creating happy memories in a joyful environment Integrity – being honest and respectful in all relationships Lead by example – set the example for all others to follow Deliver consistent “WOW” customer service Recognize, reward and build relationships that celebrate the accomplishments and efforts of others Excellence – never settling for “good enough” by continuously improving and embracing change Nurture each family member in a supportive and positive environment Through the regular practice of those core values, Lightbridge Academy of North Brunswick has forged lasting relationships with its enrolled families – to which Cervone attributes word of mouth as one of the school’s most powerful forms of marketing. To honor those relationships from over the course of its ten years of operation, the school will host a 10 Year Reunion at Babbage Park on May 15, 2015. The event will consist of a meet-and-greet between current and former students of Rainbow Academy/Lightbridge Academy of North Brunswick, as well as a movie under the stars, food truck, and lots of fun. “I think many of the families of our graduates will be surprised and delighted to learn that nearly all of our current staff has been with us from the beginning, so they’ll see lots of recognizable faces,” says Cervone. “People are the most important thing about this organization – from the students and parents to the staff and owners – the ‘Circle of Care’ philosophy encompasses us all equally. It’s a terrific environment to not only learn, but also to work. The great thing about keeping our Lightbridge Academy family intact is that there’s no learning curve for new employees and we can keep our focus where it belongs… on the child.” At the head of the Lightbridge Academy of North Brunswick family are Veenu and Raj Parkash – who also own another facility in Middlesex County at 2701 US Highway 130/Renaissance Blvd. Thanks to a combined love of children and an unswerving dedication to excellence, both of their North Brunswick locations have been recognized as the “Best of the Best” for Middlesex County by Home News Tribune for their summer camp and preschool programs. Cervone also credits the couple’s unique vision of an extracurricular room as one of the academy’s best differentiators – where everything from cooking and music to sign language and Spanish is taught on a daily basis. Another popular feature among enrolled parents are the once-a-month Parents Night Out, when they can enjoy a quiet evening together from 6:30 to 11 p.m. while their kids take part in social time combined with pizza and a movie. Working parents also appreciate the academy’s secure ParentView® Internet Monitoring, which is designed to help them feel connected to their children throughout the school day. “As a family, we truly value the education of young children,” says Owner Veenu Parkash. “Our daughter – who originally introduced us to Lightbridge Academy at the age of three when it was known as Rainbow Academy – is now also involved with the business. We are so grateful to the Middlesex County community that has been so supportive of both of our centers. Word-of-mouth continues to be our most valuable form of marketing. It has been an amazing decade. We can hardly wait to see what the next 10 years will bring!” To learn more about Lightbridge Academy of North Brunswick or Lightbridge Academy of Renaissance and the many benefits they offer to families of Middlesex County, interested parties are encouraged to call (732) 422-2255 to schedule a tour or visitwww.LightbridgeAcademy.com.
