NAPA Honors Ascensus Regional Vice Presidents as Defined Contribution Industry Leaders

DRESHER, Pa. - March 25, 2015 - PRLog -- Ascensus, the nation’s largest independent retirement plan and college savings services provider, announced that Regional Vice Presidents Ted Smith and Andre Boorady were recently recognized on NAPA’S 2015 100 Top DC Wholesalers list.

Smith was named among the Top 10 Record Keeper Wingmen while Boorady was honored as one of the DC industry’s Top 100 Wholesalers. NAPA Executive Director Brian Graff acknowledged the 2015 Wingmen during the opening reception of the NAPA 401(k) Summit in San Diego on March 22.

The selection process was overseen by a blue ribbon panel of advisors and based on votes cast by several thousand industry professionals from a list of nearly 500 wholesalers nominated by their NAPA Firm Partner record keepers and DCIOs.

Ted Smith was among the distinguished “Top 10 Wingmen” who received the most votes in the record keeping category. According to NAPA Net (http://www.napa-net.org/Article/ArticleID/375), “We call them ‘DC Wingmen’ because if they are doing their job, they have your [plan advisors’] back.” With an estimated 1,400 record keeping and DCIO external wholesalers working directly with advisors, the 2015 Wingmen list represents the top 7% of the industry.
