By: Liccione Enterprises ROCHESTER, NY - New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has kicked off the 2015 Hickok Belt(R) Award by being selected the winner for the months of January and February. Voting was conducted by a select panel of members of the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association (NSSA). Brady was selected the January winner due to his incredible performance throughout the playoffs, throwing for 593 yards and six touchdowns in leading the New England Patriots to the Super Bowl. Brady was then selected as the February Hickok Belt(R) Award winner after being named MVP of Super Bowl XLIX, earning his fourth Super Bowl title while passing for 328 yards and 4 touchdowns in the victory over the Seattle Seahawks. It was the third time Brady has been named Super Bowl MVP, tying the record also held by Joe Montana. Other Finalists for the month of January in order of how the NSSA voters ranked them included: Venus Williams (tennis), Novak Djokovic (tennis), Lindsey Vonn (skiing), James Harden (basketball) Finalists for February's award included: Joey Logano (auto racing), Malcolm Butler (football), Russell Westbrook (basketball) Brady's selection as the Hickok Belt(R) Award winner for the months of January and February 2015 recognizes him as the "best of the best" in professional sports for the month and makes him the first candidate eligible to receive the overall Hickok Belt(R) Award for 2015.
