MOORESVILLE, N.C. - March 12, 2015 - PRLog -- This family-friendly event will be held at the Williamson's Chapel United Methodist Church,  575 Brawley School Road, Mooresville, North Carolina, 28117.

Seating is limited  - concert begins at 7:30 PM.  Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for students (6-18); free for children 5 and under. Tickets are available at the door (cash or check).

KELLY HUTCHINSON, SOPRANO
With a voice of ever-growing power and finesse, soprano Kelly Hutchinson has appeared in productions throughout the U.S. and Italy and has recently been active as a recitalist and masterclass clinician.  She was recently acclaimed for her portrayal of Anna in Opera Carolina’s production of Verdi’s Nabucco.   Her operatic performances include presentations of classic operas such as Don Giovanni, Così fan Tutte, Madama Butterfly and Norma to modern works such as Albert Herring, Der Geburtstag der Infantin and The Dangerous Liaisons. Ms. Hutchinson has also enjoyed singing roles in newly composed operas such as Tony Caruso’s Last Broadcast, The Gonzales Cantata and Best Friends. As a recitalist, Ms. Hutchinson presents engaging programs from the traditional canon as well as newly composed works, folk songs and lesser known works by famous and unknown composers alike.

TODD GEER, AMERICAN TENOR
American tenor, Todd Geer, is an accomplished and versatile artist who is highly regarded for his well-defined characterizations and musical interpretations. Career highlights include the leading tenor roles in Aida, Rigoletto, La Traviata, Stiffelio, I Masnadieri, Cavaleria Rusticana, Pagliacci, La Farsa Amorosa (Zandonai), La Fanciulla del West , Manon Lescaut,, La Bohème, Madama Butterfly and Carmen. Mr. Geer has performed with San Francisco Opera, Lyric Opera of Chicago, San Diego Opera, Opera Carolina, Teatro Grattacielo, Teatro Lirico D’Europa, Bangkok Opera, Festival Musique de St. Barth’s, Festival of the Aegean and has appeared in concert in Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, L’Arena de Nimes, Aix-en Provence, Annecy and Syros, Greece.

Gregory J. Morabito, Pianist and Composer
Pianist, Vocalist and Instructor, Gregory J. Morabito is a  Juilliard graduate pianist with advanced training at the Academy of Santa Cecilia (Rome Italy); the Mozarteum (Salzburg, Austria); the Manhattan School of Music (New York, NY) and at the State University of New York (Purchase, NY).   A versatile pianist, who uses advanced chord structures to achieve a light effortless touch on the keyboard, his repertoire includes the standards, jazz, contemporary, classical and ethnic music.   He’s a seasoned performer who has performed at prestigious private clubs and restaurants in New York and Florida.  His composition, Quel Giorno, will be performed by the Lake Norman Orchestra.

The Lake Norman Orchestra, a not-for-profit community organization, welcomes all volunteers who desire to improve their musicianship, share their talent with their peers and provide quality entertainment throughout the Piedmont region of North Carolina. The LKNO performs several concerts throughout the year at numerous venues in the Lake Norman area. The LKNO musical repertoire is as diverse as its membership, so you're sure to find something you enjoy. Rehearsals are held every Monday evening, 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at Peninsula Baptist Church in Mooresville.

Maestro Eduardo M. Cedeño has performed as a conductor, soloist and collaborative artist in the United States,Europe, and South America. In 2012, he led members of the Lake Norman Orchestra on a concert tour in Vienna and Salzburg, Austria. As a founding member of the Simon Bolivar Orchestra, Director and Conductor of the Merida Symphony Orchestra and as a Founding Member of the Philharmonic Choral Group of Caracas, Venezuela, he has worked with the founder of El Sistema and the Orquesta Nacional Juvenil de Venezuela. Cedeño has collaborated with numerous performing organizations including the Philharmonic Orchestra of Indianapolis, the Indianapolis Opera, and Charlotte Civic Orchestra; UNCC Opera and Carolina Voices, as well as various orchestras in Caracas, Venezuela. In addition to conducting the Lake Norman Orchestra, Cedeño presently serves as Adjunct Music Faculty at Mitchell Community College in Statesville, Strings Instructor and former Orchestra Director at Gaston School of the Arts in Gastonia, and Strings Instructor and Chorus/Band Director at Community School of Davidson High School in Davidson, NC.  Website: http://www.eduardocedeno.net/
