Sungaila will be honored with a California Lawyer Attorney of the Year (CLAY) award by California Lawyer Magazine. Along with trial counsel Elizabeth Kolar of Kolar & Associates, she is recognized in the category of franchise law for receiving a 4-3 ruling from the California Supreme Court that franchisors are not automatically liable for the actions of their franchisees’ employees.
