Detroit Area Agency on Aging Brings Make a Senior Safe Day Event to Detroit

Partnering to Create Aging-Friendly Neighborhoods and Promote Healthy aging and enhance the Quality of Life for Older Adults
 
DETROIT - Feb. 13, 2015 - PRLog -- WHO: Detroit Area Agency on Aging, the City of Detroit and four Senior Recreation Centers are hosting “Make a Senior Safe Day” events for older residents, caregivers, and the community-at-large to help create aging-friendly neighborhoods.

WHAT: Make a Senior Safe Day Event will include sessions, workshops and/or panels on:
• How to Be Prepared for An Emergency
• Selecting the Best Prescription Drug Plan for Your Budget
• Services in Your Community
• Practice Fire Safety and Prevention
• Safety Tips In and Around Your Home
• Know your Community Support Coordination Services Partner
• Mini-Information Fair
And a light lunch/refreshments will be served at each of the four locations.

TIME: Each event will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
